Terms & Conditions of Supply

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to the supply of asbestos surveying, testing, consultancy, and related services by Complete Asbestos Surveys (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to any customer (“the Client”, “you”, or “your”).

By accepting a quotation, confirming a booking, or allowing work to commence, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Business Details

Complete Asbestos Surveys provides asbestos surveying, testing, consultancy, and removal services throughout Yorkshire and across the United Kingdom.

3. Quotations

All quotations provided by Complete Asbestos Surveys are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.

Quotations are based on the information provided by the Client at the time of enquiry. If additional work is required due to inaccurate or incomplete information, we reserve the right to amend the quotation.

4. Acceptance of Work

A contract between Complete Asbestos Surveys and the Client is formed once:

  • A quotation is accepted, and
  • A survey booking is confirmed.

By confirming a booking, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

5. Scope of Services

Complete Asbestos Surveys may provide services including but not limited to:

  • Asbestos Management Surveys
  • Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys
  • Asbestos Re-inspections
  • Asbestos Sampling and Testing
  • Asbestos consultancy and advice
  • Asbestos removal services where applicable

Survey services are carried out in accordance with The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and relevant industry guidance.

6. Client Responsibilities

The Client must:

  • Provide accurate information regarding the property and works required.
  • Ensure safe and unobstructed access to the premises at the agreed time.
  • Inform us of any hazards, restrictions, or known asbestos materials prior to the survey.
  • Ensure the property is safe for our surveyor to carry out the work.

Failure to provide correct information may result in additional charges.

7. Access to Property

The Client must ensure that access to the property is available at the agreed appointment time.

If our surveyor arrives and:

  • Access cannot be gained, or
  • The survey cannot proceed due to restricted access or unsafe conditions,

we reserve the right to charge a cancellation or call-out fee.

8. Cancellations

If a confirmed survey appointment is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled visit, a 50% cancellation fee of the agreed survey cost will apply.

Where possible, we request that Clients provide reasonable notice if a booking needs to be rescheduled.

9. Asbestos Findings

If asbestos-containing materials are identified during a survey:

  • Findings will be documented in the survey report.
  • Appropriate management or remediation recommendations will be provided.

Complete Asbestos Surveys may also provide asbestos removal services where appropriate or may refer the Client to specialist licensed contractors where required.

10. Survey Limitations

Asbestos surveys are carried out in accordance with industry guidance and are limited to areas that are accessible at the time of the inspection.

Complete Asbestos Surveys cannot guarantee that all asbestos-containing materials will be identified where:

  • Areas are inaccessible
  • Materials are concealed or hidden within structures
  • Obstructions prevent inspection

Further intrusive investigations may be required in some circumstances.

11. Reports

Survey findings are typically provided in a digital report format (PDF) following completion of the survey.

Reports are prepared based on the inspection and sampling carried out at the time of the survey.

Clients should ensure the report is shared with relevant contractors or duty holders responsible for managing asbestos within the property.

12. Payment Terms

Payment for services is due:

On completion of the work or within 30 days of invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

We accept payment via:

  • Stripe
  • Bank transfer
  • Invoice payment

13. Liability

Complete Asbestos Surveys will carry out services with reasonable skill, care, and diligence.

Our liability for any claim arising from the provision of services shall be limited to the value of the fees paid for the services provided unless otherwise required by law.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

14. Data Protection

We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found on our website.

Client information may be used for service delivery, record keeping, and communication regarding the services provided.

15. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform services where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather
  • Illness or accidents
  • Government restrictions
  • Transport disruptions

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Changes to These Terms

Complete Asbestos Surveys reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
