We recently undertook the large-scale asbestos removal from this farm in Denby Dale, Huddersfield. The removal consisted of two phases. These were made up of two barns, the barns had asbestos cement corrugated roof and wall sheeting.
The works were carried out working from a scissor lift for access which enabled the team to cut the bolts from the underside safety and remove the asbestos sheets fully intact.
These works are the first step in the demolition of the barns to make way for houses, as part of the planning process the barn structure has to remain in place and the houses built around these.
Asbestos sheeting was disposed of straight into waste skips, one for each barn provided by a local hazardous waste skip company.
